Things to Do in Da Nang at Night
Most of the sights Da Nang is known for close before dinner. After dark it is a different city, and the useful question is not what there is to do but what is still open, and until when.

What is actually open after dark
Ba Na Hills, the Marble Mountains, the museums and the pagodas all close at or before sunset. The list below is only the places that genuinely operate at night.

Hours shift with the season and around public holidays, and published sources do not always agree. Check before you travel across town, especially for anything late.
An evening, hour by hour
18:00 – 20:00 — Dinner at a night market
The two night markets keep the same hours but serve different crowds. Son Tra Night Market on Ly Nam De is the loud one — grilled meat and seafood, packed with domestic tourists, and a few hundred metres from the Dragon Bridge, which makes it the obvious choice if you are heading to the show afterwards.
An Thuong Night Market on Tran Bach Dang is smaller, around forty stalls, and sits by the beach inside the neighbourhood most foreign visitors stay in. If you are based in An Thuong you can do the whole evening on foot.
21:00 — The Dragon Bridge breathes fire
Friday, Saturday and Sunday only, starting at 21:00 sharp and running roughly 15 to 30 minutes — fire first, then water. Free, no ticket needed.
Get there by 20:30; it draws a crowd. The front rows near the dragon head get sprayed. There is no show Monday through Thursday, which is the single most common trip-planning mistake first-time visitors make here.
21:30 – 23:00 — The riverfront
After the show the crowd spreads along both banks. The Love Bridge and the Carp Dragon statue are right there, and Han River boat cruises run in this window. This is the most comfortable hour of the day in Da Nang — the heat has gone and the bridges are lit.
After 23:00 — options narrow fast
Both night markets close, and Da Nang Downtown shut at 22:00. What is left: the Han River Bridge swinging open at 23:00 if it is a Saturday or Sunday, the bars in An Thuong, and the beach.
If your group tends to get a second wind around midnight, decide on this in advance rather than walking around looking for somewhere still open.
What to do when it rains
Da Nang gets most of its rain between September and December, and it usually arrives as sustained heavy rain rather than a passing shower. Almost everything above is outdoors — the markets, the bridges and the beach all lose their appeal in the wet, and the Dragon Bridge show can be cancelled.
Indoor options after dark are genuinely limited: cinemas, a couple of shopping centres that close around 22:00, cafés, and escape rooms. If you are travelling in the wet season it is worth having one indoor plan in reserve, because everywhere fills up once the rain starts.
If you are in a group
Most of a Da Nang evening is walking and eating, which works fine for two or three people. A group of six or eight tends to split into separate conversations, and nobody remembers the evening particularly.
If you want something the whole group does together, the list is short: karaoke, bowling, and escape rooms. Of those, an escape room is the only one where the group has to actually coordinate to finish — nobody sits it out.
Practical notes
Grab works throughout the city and is the simplest way to move between the beach side and the river side after dark; the ride is usually ten to fifteen minutes. Most night markets and street stalls are cash only, though bars and larger restaurants take cards.
The beach side around An Thuong and the riverfront in Hai Chau are both busy and well lit into the night. Vietnamese addresses are numbered along a single street, so a house number plus a street name is enough for any driver.
Escape rooms — indoors, group-sized, open late
